By accessing or using StripSession ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

StripSession provides AI-powered audio stem separation technology that allows users to separate music tracks into individual stems (vocals, drums, bass, guitar, piano, and other instruments). The Service is intended for personal, educational, and legitimate creative purposes.

3. User Responsibilities

You agree that:

  • You own or have rights to the content — You will only upload audio files that you own, have created, or have explicit permission to process.
  • You respect copyright law — You will not use the Service to infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others.
  • You are responsible for your use — You assume full responsibility for how you use any separated stems, including compliance with applicable laws and licensing requirements.
  • You will not abuse the Service — You will not attempt to reverse engineer, overload, or otherwise misuse the Service.

4. Copyright and DMCA

StripSession respects intellectual property rights and expects users to do the same. We operate in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

Important: The ability to separate audio stems does not grant you any rights to the underlying content. Separating copyrighted music without authorization may constitute copyright infringement.

If you believe content on our platform infringes your copyright, please contact us at legal@stripsession.app with a DMCA takedown notice including:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work
  • Identification of the infringing material
  • Your contact information
  • A statement of good faith belief
  • A statement of accuracy under penalty of perjury
  • Your physical or electronic signature

5. Acceptable Use

The Service is designed for legitimate purposes including:

  • DJs creating mashups and edits for live performances
  • Musicians practicing or learning songs
  • Producers creating remixes with proper licensing
  • Content creators working with royalty-free or licensed music
  • Educational and research purposes

You may not use the Service to:

  • Distribute copyrighted material without authorization
  • Create derivative works for commercial sale without proper licensing
  • Circumvent technological protection measures
  • Engage in any illegal activity

6. Subscriptions and Payments

StripSession offers both free and paid subscription plans. By subscribing to a paid plan:

  • Billing — You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, as selected).
  • Cancellation — You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of your current billing period.
  • Refunds — Subscription fees are generally non-refundable, except as required by law or at our sole discretion.
  • Price Changes — We may modify pricing with 30 days notice. Continued use constitutes acceptance of new pricing.

7. Data and Content

Uploaded Content: Audio files you upload are processed on our servers. We may temporarily cache processed stems to improve service performance.

Retention: We do not permanently store your uploaded audio files beyond the processing period. Separated stems may be cached for a limited time.

Your Rights: You retain all rights to content you upload. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely for providing the Service.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR THAT STEM SEPARATION WILL BE PERFECT OR SUITABLE FOR ANY SPECIFIC PURPOSE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STRIPSESSION AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless StripSession, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

12. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion, including for violations of these Terms, suspected illegal activity, or prolonged inactivity. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email or prominent notice on the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
